Handy Finance Lite - manage all your personal finances for free on your palm

If your anything like me. When I get my money every month I just spend, spend spend until its about 10 days away from payday when I find out that I'm broke because I have spent all my cash.

I did a bit of research on the web to try and find something that would help me get round this. I wanted something for my Palm as this is easier to carry around with me then my IPAQ which I mainly use for work and I wanted to make sure that I carried it around otherwise I wouldn't update the software as I should.

Anyhow. I found Handy Finance from a small but reputable company handy solutions.

They have a professional version of the product but this version is free and has all the functionality that I would need to get started, If you want to upgrade to the pro version for $35 then for this you get some pretty cool reporting functions which will help you analyse where all you hard earned cash is going.

The interface is pretty easy to get used to and is nice and quick which was an issue I found with many CE based packages as you often need to wait ages for the software to load before you can use it.

You can customise accounts and categories, you can also input details in the who and project fields to help you keep an even closer track on your spending.

You can also input your transactions in different currencies. There is even the ability to use multiple currencies and have the software calculate the exchange rate and display the impact on the balance in your home currency.

I've not gone for the pro version yet, this is the free version so I might upgrade to the pro if this software does everything I hope it will.
